كتب الغزالي هذا الكتاب على إثر مناظرة وقعت بينه وبين أحد الشيعة الإسماعيليين حول مرجعية الحقيقة، حيث كان الإسماعيلي يدافع عن فكرة الإمام المعصوم الشيعية كمعيار للصواب والخطأ، بينما جادل الغزالي في المقابل أن هناك خمس موازين واردة في القرآن يجب الرجوع إليها للتحقق من صواب أي مسألة من عدمها ما يغني عن الإمام كمرجعية معرفية. |
| Summary |
This book was written by al-Ġazālī in the wake of a debate that took place between him and a šīʿī ismāʿīlī interlocutor about the reference of the truth. The ismāʿīlī was defending the concept of the infallible imām as a necessary reference for the truthfulness of any idea. On the other hand, al-Ġazālī was arguing that there are five referential principles in the Qurʾān that can be used to approve or reject the truthfulness of any idea. For al-Ġazālī, these principles should be used as epistemic reference, not the infallible imām as his interlocutor suggested. |
