Filosofía, mística y religión en el islam medieval

Philosophy, mysticism and religion in medieval Islam offers a new vision of Islamic thought through the texts of one of the great medievalists of the 20th century: Salvador Gómez Nogales. His extensive bibliographic production, until now dispersed in specialized journals and conference proceedings, is an example of the working method in intercultural dialogue based on rational concepts. This work as a whole offers enormous interest given the author's deep knowledge of Islamic philosophy, linked to a renewed Thomism and mediated by a non-sectarian Christian faith, respectful of other beliefs and open to rationalism. This edition, prepared by the emeritus professor of Medieval Philosophy Andrés Martínez Lorca and the doctor in Philosophy Miguel Manzanera Salavert, seeks only to value the valuable legacy of Salvador Gómez Nogales, offering us a wide and representative selection of his essential writings to develop a solid theoretical body focused on two main blocks: Arab-Islamic and mystical philosophy and religion.
